Leah Remini Scientology Special & New Show
So, fuck Scientology, right? I'm a pretty big fan of anything that calls that bullshit out for what it is. Tibby and I noticed the other day that there was a special coming this morning regarding Remini and her time as a Scientologist. We watched it this morning. She's also doing an series or miniseries about the Church of Scientology. On cue, the cultists are flipping out, which makes me happy. Did anyone else catch the special this morning or plan on watching the series when it airs (Tuesday, I think?)?

Where do I find it?
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Leah was on 20/20 or Dateline or something earlier this year. Very enlightening.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Maybe that was what we saw this morning. Could have been a re-run Tibby found. It was interesting to learn that she was indoctrinated as a child, so was in Scientology before she was a celebrity. Poor thing.

I've been taking a special interest in scientology recently for no particular reason, and for anyone who is interested in stunning in-depth insights into the inner workings of the church from a variety of former members ranging from foot soldiers to the highest echelons, and into the minds of scientologists and David M. in particular, I can't recommend the "surviving scientology radio" podcast highly enough. If you are interested in how they pressure people into spending money they don't have, I recommend starting with the episode about the inner workings of the Flag service organization in Clearwater. If you want the dirty details on how Miscavige ticks and how he managed to kill Lisa McPherson, as told by his auditor, the scientology specialist version of pulp fiction's Jules Winnfield, listen to the interviews with Jesse Prince.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Christians at least have ,Jesus, with his msg almost completely consisting of hippie stuff of peace and caring. But scientologists didn't even managed to produce those moral examples. They could have made new age hippie like religion.

Series will premier on Tuesday on A&E. Here's a link to the 20/20 episode from a year ago. Not sure if this is what Shell is referring to.

That's the sanitized children's illustrated bible version of Jesus. Jesus was basically, "the world is about to end, so throw away your belongings, abandon your families and follow me, or you'll burn in hell.

The Guy wished to preach high moral standards, he had a "good fight" in mind. Even if somebody disliked his views they can easily abandon him, like Juda did, its not like, Jesus, had bad motives, I think.
