Epiphone makes guitars in Japan, China, Korea, and Indonesia. I used to own an Korean SG that was a fantastic guitar, except for a microphonic bridge pickup. I've owned an Indonesian Strat, too -- good guitar for the $75 I paid for it. (January 27, 2017 at 3:05 pm)Thumpalumpacus Wrote:I don't care much for epiphones, myself. I had one that I gave to my granddaughter. I have a Telecaster and a Fender acoustic that I had since 1978. If I could ever see my way to buying another guitar it would be an Esquire. For an acoustic it would definitely have to be a Martin. I've been wanting one of those for years.(January 27, 2017 at 2:44 pm)Rev. Rye Wrote: Yes, technically. I used the whole brand name mainly because I can't single out any particular model, except maybe the SG.

For acoustics, there's a Taylor 12-string in my future, to join my Yamaha 6er and two electrics. When you call him an idiot or a racist you give him the opportunity to ignore legitimate arguments and just focus on the insults A better question would be: why does he still support the Wall now that he knows we are paying for it? I definitely want to see something done to stop the inflow of illegal immigration across the border. As far as the wall, I'm not sure now how I feel about it. I know it's part of a layered plan to secure our border along Mexico which also includes the hiring of 5000 more border patrol agents and the addition of more surveillance technology and other equipment. I'm just lukewarm on the idea at the moment.

What is it that illegals do to you or your standard of living? They are net payers, since they don't get anything out of the social pot, and they do jobs noone else is eager to do. I never understood the problem many people have with illegals. Not only in the USA but on a global base. I for one never felt threatened by them. If anything I'm mildly concerned over international crime. But that doesn't come in the guise of immigrants. They have other means to cross borders. I always liked the Gibson Les Paul, but then again, they can be quite expensive. A friend of mine's dad had a '58 model Gibson Les Paul in the oak finish. It had a great sound. I really liked it.
