I tried using the bible as a map once. Wound up on Atheist Street and the corner of "No way is any of this real."

I personally think that all debates about the existence of God should be like this:
Atheist: Provide evidence for God.
Theist: Okay here you go.
Atheist: That's not evidence and hence there's nothing to refute.
END.
Instead debates always end up in the atheist trying to refute the theist's arguments when arguments aren't evidence anyway. Or trying to debunk false evidence when if the evidence is invalid and the theist has failed to meet the burden of proof then the atheist has already won.
The atheist doesn't have to argue against the existence of God at all. That's the whole point. The burden of proof is on the theist who affirms that God exists not the atheist who simply says "Prove it".
The atheist doesn't have to prove a negative.

Hammy, do you accept drawings as evidence?

I would like to run a debate titled God Exists. I would like two teams to be involved. One team is affirmative that argues for God; the other team argues against God. It is not a requirement to be a theist or atheist for either team. You may want to treat this debate as a hypothesis and an opportunity to cultivate your own critical thinking and argumentative skills.
Each team may comprise of more than one member but both teams must have equal numbers of members.
Would anyone be interested to get started?
Thanks and regards

A better question to refine with is, since god is a religiously constructed concept:
Why do religions exist?
How about that?
