Because it's yet another thread by others demanding trans people justify their existence.

There is no choice involved in having a genetic advantage. Totally different than someone who's chosen to have surgery and live life as a woman and then chosen to compete in a competitive sport. If you, for example look at Fallon Fox, the trans who competed at MMA, you can tell just by looking that there is a major advantage over the women.

Should African Americans be allowed to compete in sport because they have an unfair advantage due to the weakest not surviving the slave ships? Should they have segregated bathrooms to protect white women?
Same bullshit different target.

It's a forum. Aren't we capable of talking about more then one topic at once? Saying something like this seems like a way of avoiding giving an opinion.

No one chooses to be trans.

You choose to have surgery and choose to take pills to wipe out testosterone and choose to participate in sports. So you might not choose to want to live as a woman, but everything else is choice especially if you are participating in a combat sport. If you are trans, I'd imagine the smallest sarcrifice you'd have to make is not participating in a sport where you can kick the crap out of people with a huge disadvantage.

Yeah, a lot of people seem to think it's a topic we shouldn't talk about because there are other topics, but there are like 8 gazillion threads in this forum for discussing music, people's feelings, what they're eating, their favorite TV shows, why they're rage quitting, etc. For some reason, not every thread is dedicated to some tragedy flavor of the week. That could be because people are not obligated to only discuss the big issues. I'm actually a little surprised that there is this much "there's starving children in Africa" going on in this thread.

Here was my choice: transition or suicide.

From the perspective of a transgender person, it gets awfully tiresome hearing people argue all the time about whether you should have certain rights or not. I still understand how it may look to you since you don't feel the same pressure. Feel free to discuss, but don't expect many transgender people to feel too overjoyed about it.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

Are you then beating the crap out of women in a MMA fight? If being trans is the super difficult thing, then the smallest sacrifice would be to not compete is combat sports or sports where there is a clear advantage to having been a man.

Nothing is ever a choice... especially identity.
