Still haven't seen Rogue One, and just a few weeks ago watched TFA for the first time. TFA felt very uneven, I hope that they got all the references to the old star wars out of the way now and dare write an actual new story...

I'm honestly not impressed by the trailer. I have been enjoying these movies so far, though. I'll be watching this in December.

I think TFA's references and similarity to ANH was just to draw both old and new crowds to the sequel trilogy. Now that they established their new story/universe I think they're going to be much more ambitious. Luke's line in this trailer about the Jedi needing to end makes me believe that.
