This is what kills me. I provide proof, that Hitler HATED Christianity and selective ignorance demands you pretend to not see the proof, and recite a lie that you find comforting..

First of all, Wikipedia does not equal proof.  This is the problem with christian "reasoning".  If it's written and supports your argument, it's true.  If it doesn't, no matter who it's by, it's wrong.

Actually depending on the individual article only. Wiki has 10's of thousands of fact checkers worldwide. The history part of it can be slanted sure, but as far as over all quality, I'd say they do a better job than fox news for example.

Everything is sourced at the bottom of each article and they do have a way for one to point out errors too. I find their articles on science very accurate.

Brian is right. Discounting Wiki because it's Wiki is in need of a name so it can be listed in the logical fallacies.

If he would have worded it as evidence, rather than proof I would have kept my mouth shut.  So tired of misusing words for their own bullshit.

Just because someone claims to be a christian doesn't mean they ARE a christian... "by their fruit ye shall know them".

Doesn't Trump claim to be a christian yet pronounced second Corinthians as "two" Corinthians... Thinking

When exactly is someone a Christian though?

Yeah, it does, You claim it, you own it, they are all fruit.

What you have here is your christian sliding scale.

When exactly is someone a Christian though?

When their lifestyle doesn't contradict biblical principals.

The word "christian" literally means to be like Christ.

On the one hand I agree with this because some people use religion to get political leverage even while they might be privately as skeptical as any atheist.

In Hitler's case there seems to be at least anecdotal evidence of him showing significant skepticism and signs that his interests point towards scientific scepticism beyond anecdotal evidence.

On the other hand I don't really care about claims of people not being a true Christian or Muslim because they don't follow the "true" ways of Islam or Christianity.
I think Christians and Muslims can be aggressively violent despite the fact you can cherry pick verses from both the bible and the quran that promote peace for example.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

No..it doesn't, lol. I guess you dodged a bullet on that one though. You wouldn't exactly pass the litmus test. Christians are people who believe in christ. That, Huggy, is what the word means - literally and practically. That's all it means. Everything else is up for grabs.
