RE: Star Wars: The Last Jedi FIRST TRAILER!

Come on it's the 1st teaser. Learn the difference.
It seemed to me that even for a teaser for ep7 they were really making an effort to intrigue people and now it's like "Meh, it's Star Wars. You know what to do".
I mean am I right or what?
They should have kept JJ because, all things considering, SW is mostly beating a dead horse now and JJ's ability to wave with something flashy in front of audience's eyes and make it interesting seems to be the only way to do it now. Meaning this could easily end up pretty boring.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Have fun guys, I lost interest in the series after the first original 3. I tried to give the new ones a shot, but really, sorry guys, didn't like them. It has to be a generational thing for many, just like movie fans have their favorite James Bond. I simply have no desire to see it.

It's almost the exact same trailer.

Yes, really looking forward to this movie.
Not just because it's Star Wars but because Mark Hamill will play a much larger part and it's Carrie Fisher's last movie.

They were both awesome in all the original three, and while it is sad she died, it is still a new generation of viewers/fans. I really am not sure even with both of them in this new one, if it would live up to what I got used to. I really do get the appeal though. Again, it is no different than those who have their favorite James Bond.

Of course it is a new generation. It's a transition from one set of character to a new set of characters. We saw the same with the Star Trek movies in the 90s moving from the original cast to the Next Generation cast.
And, no doubt, in a few years, if they manage to resurrect Star Trek successfully, we'll see a transition to a new, younger cast (I don't count the Abrams movies as "true" Trek. You don't change 40 years of established 'Trek history on a whim...)

Don't laugh, but these same quibbles over which character or which version is better or the "holy grail" is no different in entertainment than it is with morons who fight over Ford vs Chevy, or which Corvette was the best, or Heavy Metal vs Disco or rap. I know this is a movie thread, but, I see religion the same way. You cant get rid of it, it splits and younger generations like newer versions, but ultimately the ride ends for friend and foe alike.

Let me guess. There's a big explosion at the end.
