The little things that do it for ya

RE: The little things that do it for ya
I like voices. Especially ones with rich intonation. If you're a singer too? Perfect!

I also love that sense of humour where the farce or fallacy is found in even the most stressful situations, especially in the most stressful.

I love wit, not necessarily education although that's good, but if you have both? Booyaka!! And eyes do it for me too. If you can engage me, speak to me with your eyes, I'm yours.

An odd laugh. One where there are no reservations, it is just pure and free.

Being an expert in something. Anything. Being good or skilled at some thing they are passionate about that you can see that light in their eyes when they talk about it. Doesn't matter what it is.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I think I'm probably not that deep as far as a person's mind, though as a minority (disabled) I love it when I can truly connect with somebody. I like them for who they are and they don't patronize or insult me. People communicating with people.

Having said all that---and this maybe relates to some developmental social issues that come with the territory of being disabled in an able-bodies world---fashion and bodytype can really be overwhelmingly amazing at times. Especially if you have both. Maybe you're a ballet dancer or athlete and your body reflects that, and your hair is done just right. Or beyond just right. And you have a personality to match. It almost puts a lump in my throat.

I'm a heterosexual man, inasmuch as I've never in 41 years had a physical/sexual attraction to a man, but boy am I prone to envy at times. I'm 60 lbs overweight and have skinny legs due to my spina bifida. I used to be an athlete as a junior, including one international track/field event. But that was 1989. Things got way different, way quickly when I became an adult.

But anyhow, I do love seeing a guy in a very crisply done shirt and tie. I cannot make the look work because of my difficult body. But I go to medical conferences at least once a year, and the doctors that present are all done up very nicely in this way (males, anyway). Very simple, but very nice. Especially when that person takes care of their body, as well as their mind. It just makes me feel like they all have it down as far as life.

I like the way he blinks. I like the way he taunts me when he doesn't even speak. I like the way she presses her lips when she wants to say something, but she's holding back.

And then... if the person is also beautiful, that's just icing. That's just cake.

So like... what are the little things you like?

I'm very there. My gal scratches every itch I have. We don't always see eye-to-eye, but there's a je ne sai quoi with us that most all the time keeps even disagreements lively, interesting, and points where I get to learn something. She's warm and generous with her feelings, forgiving when I go full dumbass (never go full dumbass!), smarter than I am by a long shot, soft in my arms giving me all the handfuls I want, she talks back when I need it and listens on those occasions I actually speak wise. She's sexy as all get-out and I don't want no other.

I love you, baby.

If my wife sits on a chair and I happen to see her crotch, because she happens not to be wearing any underwear, or if she lays on the bed with parts showing (again, no underwear), those are winners. It can also happen that she just exists, sometimes. I'm a lucky guy. Back when i watched TV, there was a show with Tom Selleck in it, where he turns back and waggles his eyebrows. My wife likes it better when I do that. Hm. Time for bed, 'night all. :brows:

I just melt listening to the Perillo Tours guy doing his commercials on TV.  Damn, he has some sexy pipes . . .

Yeah, I feel unfaithful to Sam Elliot now, Jesus, his intonation and inflection makes my mankunt wet.

Good point Ben.

Now I want to ask everyone a serious question. It may be just me though.
When you make eye contact with someone newish you like, is there a statute of limitation on how many seconds of eye contact need to pass before before they turn into a serious potential life changing stare and 3 seconds later, into bedroom eyes! For me it's about 7.5 seconds. (The boner started at about the 4.5 second mark) hehe

I'm drawn to people who have a happy energy about them, because it uplifts me.

That said, I prefer people who are a little more reserved and quiet. Not necessarily in terms of emotion, they can show emotion, but I'm not keen on people who are always loud and attracting attention to themselves. As catty and sassy as I can get on here, that's not my T at all in real life. In reality I'm very collected and I don't like to bitch and moan and bring people down, or walk into the room giving screaming drunken cheering and obnoxiousness.

If a person is confident, I prefer it to be a quiet self-aware confidence, not a forced performance of confidence. I also like people who are quite physically active, adventurous and not lazy, that's a quality I admire.

I don't just see looks as "icing on the cake" to be honest, and people can call that "shallow" if they want, it's how I feel. I personally aspire to take pretty good care of my health and my looks in life, and I value the same in a potential partner, so I would not date a slob. I'm not unrealistic in my expectations about looks, you don't have to be a model with a gym body because I'm not myself, but I do like you to at least be healthy and take care of yourself. I think that ties into my attraction to "active" people though.

That happened to me today. Seriously unprofessional at work. A new stakeholder and we're having a private, work related conversation. She has a lilting Scottish accent and smart, engaging eyes. She was waxing lyrical about a framework for our project and I found myself just looking into her eyes. For obviously a little too long because she stopped mid sentence and met my gaze. I realised what I was doing and started. She smiled, still holding my gaze. I felt my heart rate climb. She gently laughed then looked away, continuing with her point as I shook myself from my stupor. She's been popping to my desk a lot since Blush

Interestingly enough, that's pretty much the same way I feel about my fella. He's brilliant, wonderfully expressive, thoughtful, brave and generous. And, he's as sincere as people come. Plus, he has all sorts of sexy little tics that get my heart pounding a mile a minute.

You should see him when he's cooking; especially at a grill. Such raw intensity, and laser-like focus!
It makes me melt, it's so adorable.

I love you too, Sugar. Heart
