But if a CROWD of people point you out as the culprit, your goose is cooked, plain and simple. The more testimonials, the heavier the weight of those testimonials. Let's not play dumb people!

But if there was no evidence for a bank being robbed the testimonials would be worthless. Just because lots of people think something does not make it true.
There are for example a lot of people who believe in a magical person coming back after a long time and solving all their problems, a being who left and said they'd be back many years ago.

I am of course alluding to John Frum the deity on the island of Tanna.

On the same island there is a cargo cult which believes that Phil the Greek is god. Yes, Phil the Greek, a man whose only accomplishment is giving the Queen of England a good rogering.

Has nothing to do with lenses your claiming the sun moved. Astronomers and there records are saying it didn't like every other day . Your saying thousands for miles saw it. I'm saying millions did not . Your saying god prevented the chaos . I'm saying that's not they way physics works or has ever works .

Wait so at the end of the day it rained, people dried out in the sun and the sun and the moon and the stars were exactly where they should be? That's like half the days I've spent on earth. I mean do you think the sun actually zoomed towards the earth? lol OMG Watch OUT!!!! AHAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Just kidding.

The eclipse coming up in 2 weeks sounds more magical than this story.

So you're linking to another marian "apparition" popularised and propogandised by another proto-fascist organisation, this time in France. What next the angel of Mons^, the marian apparition at Knock*, Medjugorje (which has been disowned by the catlick hierarchy)?

^ Refresh my memory, but I always thought the protagonist in Twelve Monkeys was mistaken for one of the angels in an early jump back in time. Am I correct, or is my fallible memory playing tricks?
* Which, even though it is held by the church to be true was probably the result of a childish prank. The vision of Mary moving against the wall was likely two boys who shone a storm lamp against the side wall of the local church and moved a statue from the church in front of the lamp so that shadow looked like she was dancing.

I agree, having seen a total solar eclipse before.  I'd fly halfway around the world to see a solar eclipse.  I wouldn't cross the street for a Catholic "miracle."

One ignorant superstitious malcontent makes 20 flippant posts, that's enough to prompt normally thoughtful people to waste enough time to carefully compose 206 relies in the vain hope that invincible ignorance can be defeated by mere knowledge and exhibition of critical thinking......

Of course.

Has there ever been a theist here that does not move the goal posts?

It sure is enlightening, though, to see how low theists will set their bar to consider their supernatural beliefs true. "Some men in funny suits and hats tell me that the Miracle at Fatima really happened, so it must be true".

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
