Totally off topic, but, really? Why?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
The GOP constantly scream about how they want to save tax payers money. Ok, so why the fuck are these assholes ignoring the health care costs due to gun violence? This is yet another story that needs to be spread widely, yes it is two years old, but I doubt that the numbers have changed much.
Oh and it is NOT a liberal rag either, it is a business journal. http://www.businessinsider.com/gun-viole...ear-2015-4 So GOP put up or shut up. You want to save money? Then stop the bullshit "sell more and do nothing.".
Apparently he left a note but they won't disclose what the note said.... ugh.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Just on the news. An unconfirmed report says that the shooter was possibly targeting nearby jet fuel tanks as well. One of the tanks was penetrated but did not cause an explosion. Could also have been a couple of stray bullets. Investigators aren't commenting.
Quote:The Las Vegas Review-Journal, citing an unnamed source, reported late Wednesday that two holes were found in one of the two jet fuel tanks near the site of the Route 91 Harvest concert. One of the bullets penetrated a tank, but did not cause an explosion, the report said. Also, the Clark County Sheriff is having a hard time believing that Paddock acted alone. The shooter had a stock pile ammo and explosives. A planned attack by a radical group, or a crazed shooter who acted alone? Quote:Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said it's difficult to believe Paddock acted alone in the attack on the audience of an outdoor concert. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/10/05/las...-says.html

Yeah, also the 2 broken windows. Obviously it was just him shooting but was someone supposed to meet him up there and never showed up?

There's a good reason they make fuel storage tanks out of non-sparking metals.

CL it really is not just you, even my side is getting distracted here. And outside this website it is even worse on network and cable news. "MOTIVE" only addresses the need for funding health care and mental health care. I don't care if the death is a suicide, family violence, accidental, gang violence or a mass shooting. FIREARMS ARE STILL WAY TOO EASY TO GET. I'd guess this guy was pissed he lost all that money gambling and took it out on the casinos. Roof was racially motivated. The Pulse shooter was religiously motivated. The Newtown shooter and Va Tech shooter had mental illness. And again, this issue of access for me isn't just about mass shootings. I was almost a statistic as a kid when my dad got drunk off his ass and shot his 38 with me in the room. He had no record at time of buy either. Most firearm injuries and deaths happen in the home from legally purchased firearms. That says to me that firearms are way too easy to get. If we are going to talk about motive, it can only be done in the context of writing better vetting laws and funding mental health care and universal health care. Again, I am not aiming this at any one person, but trying to get the focus where it should be. Our flooded market and ease of access. The note is not as important to me as insuring the next nut cant buy firearms.
I'm still thinking it's drugs, psychopathy, and thrill kill.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. (October 5, 2017 at 10:43 am)paulpablo Wrote: I'm still thinking it's drugs, psychopathy, and thrill kill. I would agree with that as well, actually. Without any solid motives coming out yet, it seems that's what we are left with.
