Boru

I suspect that it does.  Praying for something to fly isn't as effective as working out the principles of lift.

How did nature manage to work out the principles of lift without science?

Wow.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Uuu I know the answer: it was one of those days when Jews do their usual thing of stealing holy wafers from the churches around the world and nail them one by one on the tree. So one day as they were crucifying Christ, again, all those wafers joined together into a flying, white, creature known as a bird, more closely albulus columbus or as people call it white pigeon and flew away from those diabolical beings libtards love so much and call them Jews instead of their proper name: devils. So every bird today is actually a god's being running away from the Jews.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Wow was my reaction too.

Although to be fair, I do need to read aloud from a book of fluid dynamics each time my toilet doesn't drain away just to remind it what to do. I tried reading it War and Peace once and the water didn't drain at all.
