Min, how long do you think an Iranian can walk down the street saying we evolved, we weren't created by anyone before he/she dies a horrible death by mob?
Sad isn't it.

Iran is supposed to be alot like the US when it comes to evolution. Education is comprehensive, acceptance is spotty, lol.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
Yeah, they probably think that bolsters their case. Being different to Iranians dogmatically is pretty much part and parcel.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

The OP is titled improperly.
Darwinian evolution is concerned ONLY with the evolution of simple life into more complex life. Darwinian evolution does not address the origin of life and most certainly does not in the slightest have anything to say about planetary age, planetary formation, stellar formation or the origin of the universe. The general public makes this mistake frequently. That contributes to ignorance. People refuse to accept evolution as fact partly because they think it is making claims it does not. Poll numbers are skewed because people don't understand what evolution is. If you're trying to sell the public a complete, natural explanation of the universe, please don't call it Darwinian Evolution. Darwinian Evolution is just a component of our understanding of the universe. It's solid and reliable. It's a Volkswagen. Don't sell it as a Cadillac.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
