According to your article, a cop with a history of lying testified that Zarate deliberately killed Steinle. You realize this doesn't help your case, right?

The way to stop people coming from Mexico to the US is to raise the standard of living in Mexico. Giving them more aid money or transferring jobs there for example.
In the UK our immigration has gone down significantly in the last year by the simple process of tanking our economy and making it no longer a nice place to live. Maybe the US could try that. They seem on be on the right track with new tax plan for the wealthy. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis. 
Maybe it's just me, but upon reflection, the penalty seems a bit flaccid for a gun crime in California. Wonder if the NRA has taken note of this ??
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
