What are your values?
#11
RE: What are your values?
Strive for honesty
Spend as little time as possible viewing life and problems from your own POV
Try to put needs of others before your own.
Guard yourself from assumptions, especially about others.
Appreciate life and The absurdity of it all.

And most importantly; don't be a cunt.

RE: What are your values?
Accept people and things as they are.
Have compassion for others and self.

These 2 things will lead naturally to treating others and yourself kindly.

I'm not terribly good at them anymore, though. I was when I was younger, I seem to have strayed a bit in middle age after a series of personal hardships. I'm working on it, though!

Great topic. Smile

Peace.

Some that I can think of instantly and definitely don't come naturally so I have to remind myself of them....

Don't get taken advantage of/ Be kind wisely/  Be stubborn when you need to be.

Try not to get overwhelmed by peer pressure in all its forms.  Which again requires stubbornness.

Exercise/train/practice.  Do it wisely.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Do unto others as they would wish to be done unto. Otherwise mind your own business. Unless it's pervy, in which case go for it (and invite me).
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Try to leave a world behind that I would want my grandchildren to inherit.

-Try to treat decently those people who deserve decent treatment.

-Over tip the wait staff.

-Never ignore boorish behaviour in others.

You took an idea from Pool? That's not a good sign.

Obey the law, but know my rights.
Be nice to others, and helpful to those who deserve it.
Help my family when I can.
Don't be a shut-in who spends my days eating junk food in front of the computer.
Spend money wisely.

My values do NOT include dashing the babies of my enemies against stones. I feel sorry for folks that are required to believe in that.
