Of course you are, because it lets you dismiss anything that disagrees with your faith as another faith (which you have already done). Unfortunately for your beliefs it isn't true.

Sae was trolling (AND SHE KNOWS THIS.......MAN)
Facepalm See what you've done?

I was infact not trolling, I call this being fair Smile

I never troll, silly boy. Okay, maybe one in 10 of my posts, but I think that's the extent of it.

Fine, one in 7, but no more Argue

What it means is that no matter what you believe/know/trust: you can be wrong. Having it in your head that you are correct does not make it so... and the cosmos has fools in all of us. Or maybe not. That's just the thing, you see Smile Certainty is easy... but to be certain is to take a risk. I'm certain the sky is not falling and cannot fall. If it ever falls: it will strike me completely unprepared Heart

You believe something without good reason to, that's faith..

Note to self: Must bribe Cinjin. Or blackmail him.

'The'? Depends on who you ask. Tis my opinion that ~95% of arguments in philosophy and language is spent disagreeing with each other over nuance in definition when we all know full bloody well what the other side is describing.

And seriously. The sky? It's not blue. Don't know why you think it is either. Looks distinctly purple to me.

Then again, everything looks purple to me. Unless it isn't awesome. The sky, being awesome: purple. Shit? Blue. Because blue is the color of suck.

I just smiled and asked. You'll have to ask him what the going rate is now though.

Faith is faith. The two cannot be put together.
I have knowledge that the coffee cup in front of me is empty, this is based on sight, touch and the weight of it. All three of these senses tell the same thing. It's empty. Where does the faith bit come in?

Yes, good tool for keeping the fear. Though when the Spanish arrived and saw the barbaric practice, they slaughted them. Tongue

Transportation is a great example of faith. You have faith that you will have a safe trip when you drive, but you don't have the knowledge that you'll get there alive, even though you can see, touch and secure yourself in your vehicle.

Anyone can have knowledge of an empty cup because this world tells us what liquids and solids look and feel like. But could you have faith that the cup was empty if you 30 paces away from it? Or would you have to have faith from the knowledge that Sae gives you, when she tells you it's empty?

What? Thick? I'm being serious. I'm not a die-hard tree hugger, I don't recycle much, I love geese even though they hiss and I enjoy the smell of freshly cut grass.

If you're wondering if I believe in the story of creation. I do.

No it is not! While you keep faith that your god will protect you from harm, I prefer to do defensive driving. It won't avoid a possible crash, but it sure will help me better the odds than 'faith'.

I do. I see now "earth creationist" I guess I got confused by "young earth creationist" like I was some kind of hippie or following something new and radical about creation. Wasn't trying to be stupid, I just read stuff about cults in my spare time. Thanks for the links Rhythm.
