I personally believe that the evidence against the belief in God/Jesus/or the divine inspiration of the bible far out weighs the evidence for the above mentioned beliefs.There are many reasons for my convictions.And I use the term "evidence" loosely mainly because I dont consider the bible as evidence of anything.

There is no reason for believing in a god. people can't make a claim that they can't back up with any sort of way to prove it.
Science however can. So why do people keep insist to believe in diffrent types of religions? Must be fear.

Fear is the persuasion of the weak! There are in my view many factors why people believe in God and in this case I am referring to the biblical god.The main factor is indoctrination at an early age either by the parents,or the community and society in which they live and are brought up in.We call that here in the states mom and pops religion.Many self proclaimed catholics have never set foot in a catholic church but since that is the dominant religion amongst their family members they claim it as their own.
