I'm relatively new here (class of 2014), so A69 was always there as far as I remember. And I was banned once for a little while for posting inappropriate content in the regular sections, so yep, you have a point.

This topic needs little bit of Harlan Ellison
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Think about it. Huggy violated the misquoting rule at least three times in one thread, to three different people, myself included. Moderators have posted in that thread and could easily see that he did it, yet he's still around. If the rules aren't going to be enforced in the regular sections of this place, what makes a new section any better? And again, who's to decide what's off topic what isn't? There are tons of threads now, where we've gotten very off topic and violated the PD all over the place but nothing's being done to enforce that rule so why even bother? *emphasis mine*

Ok, it's just that what she said implied otherwise.

She's talking about it, but she never reported it, if I recall correctly. She specifically stated that she didn't bother, but that could have been about something else.
If you misquote, you are breaking the rules. If you didn't, you didn't.

Do what I do sometimes: just don't quote anyone. Makes it much simpler for people who want to whine about the quoting system.

Such section would make the rest of the forums "look like a joke"; in other words if you posted outside the "serious section" then you have posted a "shit post/ a not serious post".
That limits the precious freedom we have here in my opinion.
When you reverse my comment; you get the "Riyah" sub-section.
Well in a sense people would vote with their participation as to which format that preferred. That could result in some of the people you want to interact with not choosing the same arena as you. You'd then have to decide if you want to diversify your own participation, perhaps becoming more adept at switching modes of expression in the process?

Oh, it won't. If this sub-forum goes live, you know it will be a great opportunity to call believers out on the uncivil behaviors that some of them often pass off as faith (you're going to hell, etc.). They'll have to behave as well as the atheists, if not better. When you consider they'll have more eyes on them, you have to wonder how soon the cries of persecution will set in.
Hey. Shell's user name just turned green. All those in favor, say aye.
AYE!
May I just say in advance, thank you for your service. Hope it doesn't put a damper on your writing career.

You intentionally took my quote out of context and used it for your own purposes. THAT is a violation of the rules.
Besides - you are presuming to know what I've done. I didn't use the reporting system.
So you don't know squat.
