Religion is 100% fail with no corrections. Science corrects its mistakes because with science there is a such thing as progress. Unlike religion which is just a bunch of myths stagnating. The only possible progress for religion is either it to all become more and more allegorical until absolutely nothing about reality is actually being said... or a loss of faith altogether.

Creationism is very common. Especially in America but it's spreading over to the UK as well. Although it's next to nonexistent there still, thankfully.

Futhermore even moderate Christians still believe in unscientific stuff like the fact that Jesus literally resurrected.

But yeah, Christianity is on the whole a lot more allegorical than it was. If only Islam were the same.

The extra snowfall that began 10,000 years ago has been slowly accumulating on the ice sheet and compacting into solid ice over millennia, thickening the ice in East Antarctica and the interior of West Antarctica by an average of 0.7 inches (1.7 centimeters) per year. This small thickening, sustained over thousands of years and spread over the vast expanse of these sectors of Antarctica, corresponds to a very large gain of ice – enough to outweigh the losses from fast-flowing glaciers in other parts of the continent and reduce global sea level rise.

Antarctica makes 200 million tons of ice again per year.
While it looses 65 million tons

so subtract 200 from 65, 145 MILLION tons of Ice per year..

Now that was at the height of global warming in 2008. global warming has now been in a decline for almost 10 years now. (which is why we have the name change/global climate change)

The amount of ice in the antarctic being replaced every year was already decreasing at a rate that wasn;t sustainable, but it;s since accelerated in rate of loss - while the rate of replacement on the cold current side has decreased.

Why is the denial of the reality of fucking ice loss an article of your faith..anyway? I can;t find anywhere in magic book that it says "thou must bicker with your betters about snowfall"............? Chapter and verse, please.

Theoretical science is not applied science.

I am an engineer and have a company based on applied science. there are no variables hypothesis or guessing of any kind in aplied science. The big bang however is not an applied science. it by definition is theoretical in nature.

That said justify your comment that religion is 100% fail.

I can think of world wide missions long term... meaning when the camera's stopped in haiti and all the movie sars moved on and the red cross drops off because they exceeded their budjets for that region for the year, who remains? The various church out reaches and missions. I am still being asked every week to put money in the plate for hati. while most of you don't even know it still look like New orleans after katrina in places.

There is one example where the church does not fail 100% of the time.. and I can think of at least 10 more off the cuff locally.. from inner city reading programs, inner city camps, benevolence out reaches/food and critical bill help, drug programs, free consoling marriage, drug, depression ect..

again how is that a fail?

It;s not just the laity, the institutions themselves are walking a fine line, trying to split the baby...and moving the overton window for their congregations in an effort to preserve market share.

The C of E is the eventual fate of all christendom, lol. Sure, though, judaism is miles ahead..it had an earlier start. It stopped believing in a literal nature of it's creation myths before the christians stole and butchered them.

You are silly to separate the two because it is by a better understanding of the theory that the practice is able to be applied more effectively.

Stuff like the theory of gravity and the theory of evolution are examples of theoretical science that are clearly correct. And there are many many more. I am by no means an expert but anyone even mildly intelligent is able to see how much sense, say, evolution makes.

I don't have to. Religion does it for me. Give me one example of where we once had a scientific explanation for something that was not only shown to be wrong but was replaced by a more accurate explanation from religion. Many times it's happened the other way around.

Seriously between now 5-17-18 and 10-3-15 you are saying science could have flipped completely and we go from 145 million giga tons of ice being placed in surplus to being in a deficit again????
