The best swag: Guilt free sinning (keeping it victimless) !
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

The swag also has to include belonging to the "in group" and (in some instances) feeling superior to gays and others. Same principle that attracts white nationalists to the alt right. You get to feel superior due to belonging to some arbitrary in group. This may not represent all theists, but if you look at the Evangelical culture in the South, it is very much "Jesus club" having more to do with in group/out group than any sort of truth. If someone lives in the American South, and is the type of person who joins a group only for it's fringe benefits, you better believe that they'll consider "becoming" a Christian.

God and his chosen ones are the real means to rebel against all false authority and leadership.

All you need to do is produce evidence ( real evidence...not your fucking koran! ) that your god exists.  I'll take at look at whatever you have.

I read the OP wrong. I thought we were talking about atheists! Well, I am going to commit a victimless crime tonight just to atone for my mistake!

Isn't religious swag just another word for justifiable bigotry? Dunno

Bikies don't become members of the Hell's Angels to help old ladies cross the street. That could do that without joining.
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

RE: Truth or swag?
Some may do it for they swag, some for money, some looking for a good mate but the serious Christians are looking for the truth and we accept the things that come with that search.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

It is true that most of us are in ...for swag (swag this is not only money, good looking and so on..) ... human nature is taking, not giving ... the truth is also some kind of swag this is extra addition... so lets don't be deluded why we are in ... definitely for the swags!! Smile
"Alone is what I have. Alone protects me."
“I may be on the side of the angels but don’t think for one second that I am one of them.”
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day."

And I suppose that any bad things that happen are the fault of humans?

How come it is that theists give all the credit over to an invisible being, failing to consider that humans actually put the time and effort into good things happening?
How come it is that theists also take all the blame for when something bad happens - never once blaming their sky daddy for anything.

Theists are stupid sometimes.

RE: Truth or swag?
Swag = burden

Burden from all the trials needed to prepare you to manage God's accounts correctly, the added burden of investment and see a return and making sure God gets his end. The burden of not living for self but to serve in an effort to invest yourself and all that has been given in order to reap a profit no matter how your invested/monetarily or time wise. Yes same of us have been blessed but at great personal cost. look at the stories in the bible all the key figures joseph/coat of many colors, samson, Moses, David All who are used by God are first deeply wounded to break the will of the individual and have them elect God's will over their own. This is a brutal process one not required for salvation. So then why would one elect it if the 'swag' is not yours to do with it as you will?

The missing compnet in all of this is love. The love God has for us and the love we experience when we abide by God's rule and can see him blessing our given task with abundance. It can be validation that not only your on the right path but you are being rewarded. The reward here is far more valuable than swag.

RE: Truth or swag?
mmmm I chose "Other" because my reason for believe is "Fear".

I know what hurts. And fire hurts, especially if it was used in the way mentioned in the Quran.
Nevertheless, what hurts more is knowing that I'm taking the punishment for a justified reason.

So "other" seems like a better choice. The swag also contributes to the choice I made because in real life I have lots of problems.
