What is your problem with Islam? Think about it

Awkward, considering you're supposed to 'despair not of the mercy of Allah, who forgives all sins'.

The two verses compliment each other. One is mentioning half the sentence; the other is mentioning the whole sentence.

One is saying Allah forgives all sins, the other describes what sin Allah won't forgive. But you do you.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

My problem with Islam, as a religion, is that I do not feel it adequately addresses the human condition. Also, the apostle Paul specifically warns Christians to accept no other Gospel, not even one presented by an angel. Since Islam was dictated by the angel Gabriel it seems to fall into the category of a false gospel. Otherwise, I consider Muslims my brothers and sisters as children of God.

My problem with Islam, as a political movement, is that it runs counter to the principles necessary for a Western liberal democracy.

So does jesusism, Chad.

Do try to remember that it was the Enlightenment which gave us the Declaration of the Rights of Man while jesusism was extolling the Divine Right of Kings!

History is a weak subject for you, it seems.

One is mentioning the case generally, the other makes an exception. That's very legal and common in any book.

It's two angles, one is from the perspective of sins that are not repented for.

The other is from the perspective of redemption being possible for all sins, if God is turned to sincerely.

The Quran indicates a heavenly origin, Prophet Mohammed's claim about the book's authenticity can be tested through the applying of the book on reality. Demons cannot forge words that praise Prophet Jesus or Prophet Moses; sure thing they can't also take the form of an angel. The Quran contains explicit verses that say the nicest things about prophets before Mohammed, and demand utter loyalty and respect to them.

I assure to you that the Islam we see today from so many Islamic political movements is not Islam.

It is true that the grip of the Church and Christian religious institution was more than bloody and extreme, and always in the favor of dictators and tyrants. Similar to the Islamic institution today, but stronger and richer.

Atlas, the confusion between Demons and Angels can occur to individuals, just as true Prophets and false Prophets to some people are not distinguishable.

Just as people believe in non-scripture to be scripture, so can misguidance and deception take place in the unseen, and if we are misguided, we can take on visions that are not from God but from Iblis' forces.

Abraham when he saw new Angels, was fearful of them, but then reached assurance as he spoke to them. Lut called them unknown people but then realized they were Messengers.

The higher signs are HARDER to accept, if God would open a real door of ascension to the true sky, disbelievers will assume they are either enchanted or going crazy.

Unseen vision is harder to accept.

But God is not going to test most humans and acquaint them with the unseen realities, rather, he sends a Messenger that clarifies, and if we follow and believe in the proofs, inshallah, higher signs will eventually be shown to our capacity and our understanding of the Quran will grow.

The Quran being a continuous rope and extended to all human minds, it has many levels.

Moses and Abraham are praised by Yazidis, but they iterate that Iblis is the best creation and was their guide, and refused to prostrate to Adam out of love of God and God accept his actions, and raised him higher for it.

It's not good enough to talk good about Mohammad and Prophets like Bahais do to say they are not lead by a deceiver.

I'm not arguing for sake of argument either, but just, because your argument is not a very strong one and doesn't do justice to how much Quran analyzes the people's doubt and included in that, is people asserting he was working with a people who told him to say what he said, and a strong hint that he was seeking help from both Demonic entities as well as a group of people with high sorcery powers (which would explain the physical miracles of Mohammad to them).

As for the doubts - they must be addressed. Not just shut off without reason and truth defeating it.

Conjecture doesn't avail truth to the least.

There's only one potential authority that would get to say what is and isn't Islam, and it doesn't seem to give a rat's ass about it.

Everything you've posted on here makes perfect sense.  What you just posted on here makes no sense.

It seems to me that either Muslims bend over backwards to believe there's no contradictions or Arabic is a language where there can be no contradictions whatever you say.

You're right that it's common to make a case generally and make an exception but it still is a contradiction.  It's just a common contradiction that people do because we're just imperfect people.

Someone might say "All the cats are white but this cat is black."  The person saying that might not be corrected because we know what he's talking about, but all the cat's can't be white if one of them is black.  It's still a contradiction.

Do you have an example of this kind of language being used in any law or legal document?

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.
