Interesting perspective, and quite accurate.
The more one attempts to apologize the actions of man-made god, the one more supports the problems of ill logic derived from such a god.

Except for the mistake of free will. Omniscience eradicates free will.
So do humans have free will because they are not omniscient?
But wait, I thought they gained free will by eating the forbidden fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
So did they gain free will from having more or less knowledge?
This Xtian mythos is so inconsistent. Not like Harry Potter, Cthulhu or Lord of the Rings. But I suppose it was the first in the fantasy fiction genre.

"an omniscient being knows every outcome of any decision, and therefore cannot make a mistake..."
Optimal according to what criterion?
What makes a decision the best one compared to a suboptimal decision? How is this decided?
Why should we assume that what is best for Mr God is best for us? The end result (something an omniscient being knows) decides what is best.
The Bible states that " all things work together for good to those who love God".
So even a decision God makes that you deem "sub-optimal" (due to limited knowledge) is in your best interest.
If you gave a small child a choice between eating cake or broccoli everyday, the child will undoubtedly choose cake, but any good parent would choose broccoli, which from the point of view of the child is a sub-optimal descision, but is ultimately in the child's best interest.

The "end result" is that you believe a book based on mythology over reality.
Grow the fuck up already.

How do you know that what your god wants is in our best interests?
Do you always believe the government as well when it tells you that it knows what is best for you?
How do you know that humans aren't being harvested like farm animals?

How do you determine reality?

By the process of realization.
A god that cannot be proven to exist outside of "personal" experience is not a realization so much as it is a process of self delusion.

Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Well in that case there's nothing any of us whether 'theist' or 'atheist' are going to be able to do about it, now is there?
