The most common anecdotes I've heard about nuns in my time was how mean and ignorant they could be or how a few carried on clandestine sexual relationships with priests, yet this is the first time I've ever heard of some being guilty of grand larceny. Read

"Steal" is perhaps a relative term here considering that nuns slave for Church and basically don't get paid at all, so why wouldn't they take some money they earned anyway?

Well, not quite so easy when I remember there was another episode where Bishop Brennan explaned that the money that was supposed to send a sick child to Lourdes was actually spent on a trip to Vegas, and that I couldn't find that clip. I could find four versions of this, two with Father Ted replaced by David Cameron, but none of that other scene.
Actually, I did find it in this compilation. Starting at 2:05.





Sadly, Father Ted did not use the "just resting in my account" line here.
