America has an unhealthy obsession with all types of firearms. No other westernized first world country comparable to America has anything close to our firearm violence. The issue isn't about rights, it has always been about one industry scaring the shit out of the public needlessly to protect the profits of one industry.
(bold mine)
Does the US have a problem with privately owned anti-tank missiles?
Boru And - California outlawed the sale of .50 caliber semi- autos - specifically the Barret M92a - despite the fact that there was never a documented crime committed with one in that state. At $10,000 and 37 lbs weight - it isn't popular with gangland punks.
Reason? Scared shitless reactionary twats were put in charge.

You know, I'm not sure that melting them down was the right idea: they could be officially and permanently disarmed and turned into guitars:
I'm more of a cigar box guitar guy myself, but a proper Escopetarra would be one of the (relatively few at this point) proper 6-string guitars I'd really love to acquire.
""And they shall beat their swords into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning forks;
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
Neither shall they learn war any more."

" Banning battlefield weapons"
What a clueless, uninformed bit of emotionalism.
As if the weapon makes the soldier.
Give me a squad of Navy Seals armed with Remington 870 shotguns (one of the most common civilian hunting weapons in existance) and put them up against a crew of gangbangers armed with machine guns in an urban environment- and you will have a large drop in the crime statistics in about an hour.

I think he’s talking about banning military weapons for civilians, not soldiers. Is there a reason a civilian needs a fully functional AR-15?

When they sell them to scrap dealer, the makers of the guns still realizes the profit, and it would not affect their future gun production.
If they go back to the maker, the makers will have to credit Dicks for their value, which will leave a hole in their balance sheet, which they will have to fill by putting these guns on the market again where they will take the place of the maker's own future production?
Typically spray means automatic.
If rapid repeat of trigger pull constitute "spray" than everything that does not require manual operation of the bolt would be a spray weapon.
Hair trigger has nothing to do with rate of fire. It has to do with accuracy of the gun and how much the act of pulling the trigger upsets the aim. Mass shooting doesn't involve precision aiming.

Why not? I hunt deer with a Bushmaster AR-15. It is a very reliable and very accurate rifle - perfectly.suited for whitetail deer - and is no different in function than any other " hunting" rifle.
(Waiting for the clueless to tell me why I am wrong).

OLB and right wing morons on the issue of firearms cant understand the difference between human rights, which nobody is against, and public safety which they don't give a shit about because they are stuck in a utopia hollywood Dirty Harry, Rambo movie that does not exist in reality.

As apposed to the NRA AND GOP whose entire marketing is, "Fuck safety because I want to play Rambo."
Thanks for the lecture.
