Yeah, I agree. I don't do charity often, but when I do, I could never dream of keeping some for myself. Despicable!
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I don't know why he's raising money for Haiti. His god is the one that fucked them in the first place.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

I always thought Christians thought Haiti fucked themselves.

God supposedly punished Haiti, finally, for a pact they made with the devil or some shit like that. I don't know why God felt the need to punish them belatedly. It seems God's trigger finger is becoming slower with age, and also his aim is truly terrible.

Full disclaimer that this is anecdotal experience and not based on statistical study:
So how come it is that every atheist I've known is a person of integrity and compassion while most Christians I've known are lying scumbags, disloyal unloving people, snotty bigots, narcissistic assholes or any combination thereof? Even prior to my interest in religion, I'd observed that the most staunch Christians were the most miserable excuses for human beings. At the time I'd hypothesized that they give all their love to Jesus and have none leftover for anyone else.
