I recently found this article from Daily Kos, and somehow, it put everything about Trump’s shitty response to the pandemic, from urging states to reopen while cases were still climbing, to asking to scale down testing, to this self-admitted germophobe’s (someone who, last year, asked someone who coughed during a press conference to leave the room) refusal to wear a mask during a pandemic:

It also references this 2013 tweet about the recession to strengthen the case that Crises are just a Social Darwinist game to him.
And because Trump, in his own mind, thinks positively, he’s confident enough to not bother with a mask. And the 120,000 people who died because of his shitty response to the pandemic? If he’s willing to write off someone who died in an ambulance crash as a loser, what do you think he thinks of the faceless masses who died because he made the pandemic worse?

Bolton had thoughts on that. Suggested that the only thing he noticed was that they were trump supporters. It's not that he was being a bigot booster, so much that he's an idiot. Though Bolton allows that both things can be simultaneously true and either is a rational interpretation.
