[Quranic Reflection]: The universe is expanding
RE: [Quranic Reflection]: The universe is expanding
A bit of advice on petulance.

People find all sorts of reasons not to grant apologies that they probably should, we've all been there - but it's always a bad look to go on ranting about that commitment to being petulant. We end up asking questions like "why should I apologize for lying about you being a liar?"

No reason at all if we can't think of one offhand. Honestly, I don't think that a thread like this has any other option. A commitment to unapologetic lying was baked in the moment you decided to pretend that magic book contained scientific miracles.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The op.
Please discuss that if you have anything to say.

Wrong. I did not copypasta a wall of text, I quoted the relevant lines of you signing off as "MK" and wondered why that might be. Getting your internet personas confused perhaps? Because you could have explained it, whatever it is, but you instead chose to accuse ME of quoting walls of text when anyone reading can see that I did no such thing.

So why was that false accusation your goto? Why did you not explain why you signed off as "MK"?

That post was intended to MK's socks; not to you.
I signed it because I suspect that this is his sock. I have my reasons to think that. But it never excuses you from accusing me of being him.

Thank you; MK.

But the context of the apology is what matters; in other words: why should I give it?
And reply in that thread to keep topics organized.

See you next tuesday.

Because Boru said this:

Quote:Ok, I will.

If the Universe is expanding, AND if the Quran correctly predicted this, isn’t there room in the Universe for that apology you owe me (sorry, I don’t know the Arabic word for ‘apology’).

I do not give a flying fuck about whatever spat you have with boru.

I want you to defend YOUR OWN beliefs. And you cannot. In fact, there is evidence that you have been socking your ass off.

Not conclusive yet, of course, but the evidence is accumulating.

Ignore that for now. we already know that you have willfully lied to us

Then you should have written "Thank you, MK.", but you wrote "thank you;MK".

Or you should learn to properly write english (including interpunction). See your recommendation to Apistos

It is not so rare for Arabic words to a meaning that is not obviousely related to the morphological fundimental. For example : The word Jarrah جرة = jar, derives from the fundimental J-R-R just like the verb Jarra جر = To drag (past tence). Dragging has nothing to do with jars, yet they share the same fundemental in Arabic.

I know that, but never in my few decades of interacting with Arabic-speaking people have I ever heard any word related to "wase3" mean anything to do with richness or capability. I agree with Atlas on his counter to you on that. Maybe you're right, but I'm not convinced, especially since the verse itself is probably based on verses stated in the OT.

Ok, so based on this link:

http://corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=wsE

It seems you're correct actually that "mouse3" can mean "wealthy". So fair enough.

But context nevertheless matters, and in the verse discussed, the other definition (wideners/expanders) appears to be the more appropriate.

Excuse me; but I'm not here to play games with you.
If you have a case present it.
I will not repeat myself, and you can read the OP again to know what the case is.
