I don't think it's a memory problem. He knows that..to our eternal shame...the american response to both portland and antifa was rejection, distance, and denouncement. That's part of what emboldens the separatists. We routinely signal that we agree with them in important ways.

When you "hold a protest" you are assuming responsibility for it going tits up and turning into a riot.


When it goes from protest to riot - you lose any moral high ground you might have.

Being an appologist for a riot because "it's a good cause" makes you as big a shithead as the rioters...

It is why I see protests as a bad idea.

Got a cause? Great. Organize. Raise funding. Sue the shit out of the opposition.
