Or died, like they hoped - without all the legal hassle.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Well, There Goes THAT Stupid Fucking Argument
Quote:A renowned pulmonary critical care doctor testified Thursday morning that George Floyd died from a "low level of oxygen" when former police officer Derek Chauvin pinned him to the street and restricted his ability to breathe.
"This caused damage to his brain that we see, and it also caused a PEA arrhythmia that caused his heart to stop," Dr. Martin Tobin of Chicago testified, referring to pulseless electrical activity, a type of cardiac arrest. He identified four main reasons why Floyd died: the handcuffs and the street acting as a "vise;" Chauvin's left knee on his neck; Floyd's prone position; and Chauvin's right knee on Floyd's back, arm and side. Combined, these limited Floyd's ability to expand his lungs and narrowed his hypopharynx, a part of the throat that air passes through.
Floyd's preexisting health conditions and drug use were not relevant to his death, Tobin said.
Floyd's preexisting health conditions and drug use were not relevant to his death, Tobin said. "A healthy person subjected to what Mr. Floyd was subjected to would have died," he said.

Bush helped. And Obama sank the Titanic.
I swear, Chauvin's defense lawyer is a fucking idiot. I'd have advised Chauvin to plea out to the lowest charge. I know it is the duty of a defense lawyer to go with what the client wants, and yes, he is going the full mile for sure, but damn, the video alone is damning, but then there is this.

An aside, the M.E., on the witness stand right now, looks like he is pulling a "Trump" combover. You can tell he is going bald but, the way he combs his hair he is trying to cover it up.

I should think you’d be pleased and delighted with Chauvin’s defense team. I know I am!

Wait - how you know he DIDN’T advise Chauvin to plead to a lesser charge?

I guess I didn't clarify that well. I'd bet he did advise him to plea out, but Chauvin insisted to plea not guilty. That is why we are having to go through this trial.
I agree though, from everything I have seen from his defense lawyer he has to be hating to have to do this. And he isn't that good at all.

Then you should retract calling the lawyer ‘a fucking idiot’.
