For what it's worth, I'm convinced that you don't do this for our benefit, but to internally rationalize the fact that you have garbage thoughts about this and a whole host of other subjects. Can a person be declared guilty of assault if you have a kickable face? How can chauvin be a murderer if floyd was a bad, bad man? Hardly a distraction, it's the same garbage thought rattling around in your head in both cases.

It's just like John "Natty Bumppo" Dean said: it doesn't take much to make a saint out of someone who's been crucified.

And that's what happened to George Floyd. Hell, I even made a meme picture of that same quote juxtaposed with Chauvin kneeling on George Floyd specifically to showcase that point. I was going to post it, but I'm not sure if actually posting it would be okay with the site's rules, since it is, you know, a real person's last moments of life, but, then again, at least Floyd's death wasn't gory, and the quote does highlight the injustice of his death and how he became a martyr.

They literally CAN’T stop struggling. During positional asphyxiation, struggling is an involuntary response. When they do stop struggling, it’s because they’re dead.

This is why Chauvin is guilty, full stop.
