Do humans have inherent value?

Do humans have inherent value?
And if yes, can their actions nullify that value?

I want to read your opinions.

Some will say one's value is only determined by his contribution to society.

Others will say the act of breathing is good enough to apply value.

As a misanthrope, I say dead people are of the most value.

Indeed that’s the kind of opinions I want to read. For example, can a person rationally believe and justify the value of another person null? And how does this conflict with the notion that people have value just for being human?

May I ask why you hate humans?

RE: Do humans have inherent value?
Anything physical has inherent value (or intrinsic value).
To an alien, we may be a good source of protein, or to be used in their MrFusion™
Any other values "we" assign to ourselves are strictly social contructs and therefore arbitrary.

eg: Bitcoin has no inherent value -only the value we artifically apply to it. Gold has inherent value as it is a physical element with certain desirable properties which can be utilised for industial uses or even aesthetic. Gold as a monetary store of value has no inherent value other than what we choose to give it. It's just a pet rock.

Hate is such a strong word.

I'd say I passionately dislike most people because of their propensity for not learning from history, self destruction, overall disregard for the future of the planet, and apparent inability to correct obvious errors in a backward socio-economic environment.

Kit, I agree. The only lesson we've learnt from history is that we never learn from history.

I signed an organ donor card and my corpse is going to the medical school. So.........., partly inherent.

I feel you dislike people for not worrying about things that mostly are out of their control.

I would understand if you disliked them for more specific and personal reasons such abusing the vulnerable, murder, etc.

Depends where you sell them.

What a lovely one-percenter excuse.

Nothing is out of our control.
