Then you are an atheist. That is what atheist means.let me explain. You saying you are not an atheist would be like someone saying "I believe fully in the extstence of the abrahamic god but do not identify as a theist"How you self identify is of no significance, you don't currently believe in a god, so you are, by definition, an atheist. pid='2045745' dateline='1624638776']

There are other atheists here insisting I am a theist.
Why don't you all get off it.
I am neither an atheist nor a theist. Anyone who thinks you must be one or the other just does not understand that it is not a binary choice.
The law of non-contradiction says it is. Take your problems up with the logical absolutes then, lol.

In no way whatsoever does doubting a claim that there is a god...means that the person is saying that there are no gods...or that the claim is false.
So what?
So, why are you here telling a bunch of people who have just explained the above to you as their position on the existence of god/s, that their position is not, in fact, their actual position?
I have not been doing that, LFC.
Not in any way.
You simply are unwilling to accept what I am saying...or you are grossly mistaken about what I am saying.
I defy you to find a post of mine that says (or even intimates) that if a person says, "I do not accept that claim (that there is a god) as true" that it means the person is saying that it is false.
Don't confine yourself just to posts here. You may also look at the tens of thousands of posts I have made over the last two decades in any of the other forums in which I have been a participant.
I HAVE NEVER SAID THAT...NOR INTIMATED THAT.
That thought is in your imagination. Apparently you want me to have said it.
I have never said it...and if anyone else ever said it to me, I would correct them...BECAUSE IT NOT LOGICAL...nor true.
Ball in your court.

Yeah, you atheists want those of us not stupid enough to be atheists...to be deemed atheists. It would improve the mental values for atheism if people like me were atheist...but this unrequited love.

That fallacy is the result of atheists playing games with the etymology of the word. They want to pretend that atheism is the product of "a" (without) + theism (a "belief in a god) = without a "belief" in any gods.
That is horseshit.
It cannot have derived that way, because the word "atheism" came into the English language 100 years BEFORE the word "theism."
Yeah...today atheists insist that anyone who is not a theist has to be one of them...an atheist.
I do not blame them. The agnostics are a shitload smarter and more logical. The can inflate their numbers...and get smarter more logical people by playing that game.
I say screw you people.
I am not an atheist.
Albert Einstein said that he did not "believe" that any gods exist...BUT THAT HE WAS NOT AN ATHEIST.
Neil deGrasse Tyson says that he does not "believe" that any gods exist...BUT THAT HE IS NOT AN ATHEIST.
Carl Sagan said that he did not "believe" that any gods exist...BUT THAT HE WAS NOT AN ATHEIST.
Same story for Stephen Hawking...although just after his death, there were some atheists who attempted to revise history .
All four described themselves as agnostics...and raged against anyone who claimed they were atheists.
I am no Einstein, Tyson, Sagan, or Hawking...BUT I AM ALSO NOT AN ATHEIST.
No matter how much you crave me.

@ Frank Apisa ‘s primary complaint seems to be with the dictionary, not with people who don’t believe in gods and also don’t believe no gods exist. So, I’m not really sure why he’s here. I’m inclined to direct him to the editorial staff at Merriam-Webster. How about this, Frank? From now on, all people who don’t believe in gods and who don’t believe no gods exist will be called film-flams. People who don’t believe in god and also believe no gods exist will be called strong flim flams, and we can re-name the site FlimFlamForums.org. We can excise the word “atheist” right out of the English language. Would that appease you?
