I can't find any disparaging news on him, so my take is that people know how to differentiate his comedy routine from reality.
Unlike Carlin, whose comedy was more realistic.

Do some businesses put up BLM signs so they don't get vandalized? Perhaps there are some, and that's sick. I support the idea that black lives matter, but I don't tend to support movements, because they come with other baggage such as a particular politics and world view.
But businesses supporting the movement is about branding and profits. It isn't because they support Marxism, or are doing it as a false-flag in hope that we turn into a police.state.

I’m so tired of hearing about crypto marxists and cancel culture as if the boogeymen were real and we -had- no other, actual, problems.
Even in comedy , it’s only ever been funny as edgy and intense hyperbole for effect. When the seething unfunny masses believe it’s literally true, and they do, comedy gives way to farce and tragedy.

"cancel culture" occurs on both sides. Once a cultural opinion becomes a point of identity to a group, some zealots will try to enforce "purity" of opinion.
