 Indeed.

A few years ago, I was on a history forum.  Didn't realise it was based in Cairo.    All I did was to opine that the Quran is not a history book. Pickle me grandmother! Those bastards were fucking nuts!  I mean who makes death  threats on an internet forum?   I decided it might be prudent to get out of Dodge, and I did, immediately. Cool

And yet Paul was a megalomaniac narcissist of the first water and wrote his Epistles in the first person.

Different flavor of megalomania.

Innit great to be able to re-define words to try to bolster a failed argument?  Jerkoff

Really, in what way did the argument fail?

This is actual footage. It is doubtful that such a graceless, untalented, insignificant plodder had anything to to with the beautiful inerrant word of the magnificent almighty.

Nothing. I'll give you 10:1 that he was.   Paul was born into a devout Jewish family. He was brought up by Gamaliel, a leading authority in the Sanhedrin. Most unlikely that he would not have been circumcised at 8 days, according to custom and law.  (Circumcision is seen as ratifying God's covenant with Abraham to make the Jews his chosen people)

That's acts, fiction. Textual critics have long doubted pauls backstory (as in, specifically "genuine pauls").

It's a theme with magic book. It wasn't written by the people alleged to have written it, and the people who did write it were rarely who or what they claimed to be.

Just so. Apart from the fact that the Torah was written about 700 years after Moses is claimed to have lived (during the reign of Ramses The Great, 1303-1213 bce)

The best argument against Moses writing well, anything, is perhaps that recent archaeology has shown the  Exodus almost certainly never happened and consequently, Moses almost  certainly did not exist.

I always liked the abandonment of Armona after the death of Akhenaten as opposed to Ramesses II for a origin of the Exodos story. As far as Moses himself goes the story of Sargon the Great was borrowed from heavily to create the Moses narrative.

I first went on line in 1999. Began lurking around forums in about 2002. Atheist forums around 2005.  I have only received one death threat so far. But then I've never been on Twitter or similar.  I only accept people I have actually met on Facebook.  Only been on Facebook since June this year. I have three friends.

Perhaps I may be a bit more cautious/paranoid than some. Cool
