So no mirrors were harmed in the making of the headline? Huh

1) No, the Proud Boys aren’t legally considered terrorists in America. That doesn’t mean they’re not still dangerous. And somehow, I doubt that they’re any less dangerous in the USA than they were in Canada. Especially since they’ve been implicated in the storming of the Capitol (then again, I know Biker doesn’t really care about that; after all, a crime that fell through isn’t worth getting out of bed over in his world.) And they’re relevant because the judge still believes he’s a member. Also worth noting, you know who isn’t considered a terrorist organization in the US? The Ku Klux Klan. Indeed, it doesn’t look like the US lists ANY domestic groups as designated terrorist groups.

2) I checked the law. Even if he’s a felon, he’s still not allowed to possess ghost guns. And, in addition to possession, it looks like he sold them, and probably made them just to sell them, which is a federal crime, even if you’re not a felon.

He is not allowed to own firearms PERIOD. Specifying "ghost guns" is a red herring intended to make you believe the charges stem from the type of firearm - not his being a felon.

You keep sucking that koolaide....

I'm glad you're here to point it out when specific details of the case being mentioned in the headline are being utilized to spread propaganda that I wouldn't have picked up without it being pointed out and framed that way.

At work.

Sorry for not understanding the finer points but....

The person was a 'Felon' at the time of them being found with fire arms?

Said (Possible) Felon hence was not allowed to have/possess fire arms?

Thus making it a 'Bad thing' that they had fire arms in their possession.

Headline reads - Proud boy jailed for seven years for unlawfully possessing ghost guns.

....
Please - WITHOUT reading the article - please tell me what you think this means.......

After we get some answers read the article. You may then see what bugs me.

I think we have a flooded market and ease of access problem.

He's a convicted felon, so possession of any type of firearm or ammunition is unlawful, and a quick ticket back to prison. He's convicted from some previous offense, so not "possibly" a felon.

I'd appreciate it if all the straw heaped up here (not by you) be shipped to OLB's place so that he has more heat for the cold winters he has up there in the frozen north.

Even if he's a "Proud Boy", it isn't necessarily salient to the story. Faux News using that bit is, in my mind, inflammatory, and feeds into the right-leaning rhetoric. Which is OLB's point. It wasn't necessary to point out affiliation with the Proud Boys.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Yup
Yup
And
Yup.

Putting away felons trying to possess firearms is a good thing.

Trying to form public opinion with clever disinformation really isn' t.
