No one said gay service members can't have their own little symbol or whatever, or the pagans, or Satanists or whoever. They can have their own little thing. That's not what any gay person is outraged by right now. These US government bullets should be taken seriously, based on the gravity of the damage they have caused. They've killed hundreds of thousands since 9/11. Some say it's a million plus. This is not to be taken lightly, taking the government bullets that are used to unjustly kill brown people and spray painting them with a symbol that was created to stand for the exact opposite of the military industrial complex. I'm 100 % in support of the 2nd Amendment, but military bullets represent the MIC and the killing they've done and are continuing to do to brown people.

You bring up the police in Pride parades. Actually, a whole bunch of pride parades have kicked out the police from participating. And if you're seriously going to sit here and try to pretend that you wouldn't be offended in the least if Brianna Taylor was gunned down with a gay pride bullet out of a police gun, then I just don't believe you. You're only making a fuss here because it's me, and because you refuse to side with me on anything.

Which is it?  The USMC are a group you respect or are they war ciminals?

Pick a lane for a change.

I respect individual people who obey commands and do their job. The military as a whole is a tool of the MIC, which has unjustly killed hundreds of thousands of brown people.

To be fair there are war criminals in the US military. But it's absurd to call the whole thing a group of war criminals or to say anything they put out is the product of war criminals.

There is that reductionism again mixed with a composition fallacy

If the US military messaged that they were proud to have Latino/Black/Native Americans/Pacific Islanders in their ranks, would such messaging strike you as ‘pretty gross’?

His whining is mainly about the bullets as if bullets are inherently bad if used by the military. So I would imagine he would cry salty tears if some color pallets used by any of those groups were put on bullets we would hear the same amount of sulking.

Sounds like an undercount to me, and why start at 9/11 - american bullets were killing people long before that.  As it turns out, though, some number of those bullets were fired by gay servicemembers.  I've met some pretty high speed gay infantry - and would you believe it, they're no more or less bothered by the fact that american rounds kill than a straight infantryman would be.  It's a source of pride, something we all truly bond over...actually.

I suppose it's more than a little bit theatrical, really. It's not so much hooah hooah rushing pillboxes anymore as it is peacekeeping and infrastructure projects. As a groundpounder, there's no rational expectation that you'll match a pilots enemy kia. More than anything, that transition from a culture of warlike heroism to by-the-numbers professionalism helped move the military along the path to the kind of acceptance you might find in a white collar environment. It's not about the manly man kicking ass and taking names anymore, and all the shit that went with that.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I’m pretty confident that current and past LGBT marines are perfectly ok with the messaging.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I'm a queer man. I take no offense to pride flags lol. I promise I don't hate the pride flag. Just look this up on twitter, and you will see that 99 percent of people think this is insanely gross. Like one twitter user I saw pointed out (I can't find the tweet anymore), the military should be sending out messages of reconciliation and apology for their extreme homophobia over the years. This is what gay people want to hear, and it would mean a lot more than cringey virtue signalling by wrapping weapons of war in the pride flag. Get some cool little rainbow flag dog tags or something. Not flipping bullets.

How incredibly tone deaf to have the bullets be the pride flag after a major school shooting.

Love wins, but representing the pride flag on bullets? The message is a bit mixed.

Because the LGBT liberation movement is not about holding up Imperialism. I don’t believe that you can’t see how turning the Pride flag into US military bullets a wild misappropriation & utterly absurd.

One week after Uvalde and you decide to put the pride flag colors.....on bullets..........this may win for worst pride post and the month just started.

Meanwhile I’m over here screaming about co-opting the pride flag FOR BULLETS!!!

"it gets better," i whisper as the gay pride bullets riddle my body. i feel completely at peace

When these bullets enter the skulls of children those children will die knowing that the marine who fired them is filled with gay pride

The USMC #Pride2022[Image: WeBelong_Pride_2022.png] inclusion is nice - but holy fuck is the messaging of rainbow bullets bad

https://twitter.com/LynKiana/status/1532515169204457472
USMC acting like they support pride and putting rainbow bullets on their helmet is honestly borderline offensive. Signed a now gay ex military wife

Yesss!!! Nothing screams pride like committing war crimes with rainbow bullets!!!!

rainbow bullets [Image: 1f308.svg] from theMarines!

Because when a hot round is blasting through a small brown child’s chest at a mosque, let’s make sure it’s gay friendly!

Amazing.
I’m done now.

Happy pride month, ya queers.
