Even with all of our advanced knowledge of DNA and living things, nobody has ever gone into a laboratory and made even a simple cell from the raw chemicals.  Yet we have been told it happened accidentally.  I challenge science to make a cell

Even to this day, nobody really knows what electrons are made up of, or why they are stable particles.    Nobody even knows what is going on inside the atoms which causes gravity.  Sure, they have "drawing" but ask a phyzzzzzist, they are a theoretical drawing,
because they dont know what atoms actually look like, or really how they work.

Most of the predictions at the LHC have been absolutely wrong, by their own statements ( admin wont let me post a link)

can science do these things, make matter or energy, or life, no.

Bill Gates says that  “DNA is like a computer program but far, far more advanced than any software ever created.”   How is that possible?  without a creator?

You asked in an earlier part, for a prophetic sign, unfortunatley, there is only one that I can say for an absolute certainty that has not happened yet, and you dont want to see it, and not have faith.

Got bounced around by an ied.  I spent time  b m and c.  High speed, you know the drill...would have stayed for twenty...but not as an xray tech.  Mech was definitely my favorite though.  Less walking, cooler toys.

That's not exactly what you've been told.  What you've been told is that life is the product of organic chemistry - it;s an accident only so much as no one needs to make organic chemistry happen.  That would also be cool...but I'm pretty sure that if Science™ did that then the faithful would simply insist it further establishes the credibility of their stories.  "See, it can happen, and without magic!".  How do you imagine that a god made life, for example.  Magic..or organic chemistry?

I mean, if it's going to happen anyway - it's not like I have any say in the matter.  What, you think a demigod warlord is going to come back and stomp the living shit out of anyone who won't bend the knee so that it can establish a lasting davidic kingdom on earth? If something can't come from nothing, then whatever god used to create the universe must have always existed since he couldn't have created it from nothing per your rules. If you believe god did create the universe from nothing, ie he "spoke" it into existence, then something can come from nothing.

You are throwing a whole lot of things against the wall, and saying "what about this?"  Well, what about it - does it prove a god?  If so, how?

What about the sky being blue?  How is this possible?  Must be God.
What about toaster strudel?  How is this possible?  Must be God.

Did you read where the energy of the universe may be zero?  If so, there was never a need to create energy ex-nilho.  The negative gravitational potential counteracts the positive mass-energy.

Science uncovers how things work.  Science doesn't break its own laws.  It does uncover how relatively simple order becomes a myriad of complexity.  Note that physics is reasonable simple.  There are no gods making rain, designing DNA, or making the sun shine.  The basic order of the universe does that on its own.

 I've seen this schtick, here, before. OP, "SCIENCE" doesn't "do" things. It's a manmade tool for investigating our reality, with all the glory and failings of man wrapped up in a ball with it. I'm calling it, now.

Going from one point of view to the other in one step is not possible, I am merely expressing the question I asked myself, which led me to more questions.  To the "magic book" question.......is your question: if the book is inaccurate, what does that say about GOD?

Understand, that my opinion is not based on "the magic book" itself, but on its writers and their first entry.  And how they knew.  


Later on, in a conversation with my daughter, we were talking about Thor, and his part in the Marvel Movies, especially in the Avengers.  Specifically, we spoke of the scene where as Thor had to restart the star in order to form his new Thanos killing weapon.....Remember that?  Anyway, I got me thinking the same thing.  See, the name of Thor's hammer is Mjolnir.  It was made of a URU METAL, a type of enchanted material like "unobtainium".  I found it interesting that the Norse knew that a star would have immense power, the kind of power that you could make an unearthly weapon.  How did they know it?  Just a good guess to I suppose.

It's pretty damned amazing how atoms hook up to make different types of small, and even large, molecules. I see no reason to credit/blame a "god" for what happened.
