" At what point does faith become insanity?"

I don't think anyone chooses what to believe or not to believe. They believe what they've been convince of and don't believe what they're not conviinced of; and that's that. You can't decide 'from now on I'm going to believe the moon is a hologram'. You have to be convinced, even if it's you doing the convincing ('I did muh own research!).

The word faith as two senses: 1. complete trust or confidence in someone or something. 2. strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof. I have faith in the first sense, which is basicallly a synonym for 'trust'. I have faith that the chair I'm sitting on won't explode and that the earth will still be rotating tomorrow. I base that on past performance, but it's not guaranteed. It IS more convenient to live my life as if chairs aren't going to explode if I sit on them though.

This is a very dangerous game, because you see, you'll open the gates of hell on you: everybody will "judge you" just the same way you judge them.
In other words: who the hell are you to judge somebody as insane, without a medical diagnosis from a professional doctor" ? Oh.. you're a populous extreme anti-theist, my bad.
