Science doesn't know how the universe was created but is trying to find out (mostly worked out to a small fraction of a second after the big bang, working on the details)
Replacing "I don't know" with "god did it" is a cop out.
God always existed. Something had to.
If God "always existed" then so did time, because "always" is a word that is effective only within the domain of time. So why not worship time? Time doesn't send me to hell for eating hot dogs on Lenten Fridays.

Since none of them have any evidence of any god existing?
Your desire to believe is stronger then wanting to know the truth.
Well yeah, naturally. Beliefs are not such bad things to have, you just have to know your limits, i.e. don't allow yourself to believe in anything that's detrimental to any aspect of your health and well-being, and also don't expect other people to hold the same beliefs you hold.
I’m confused as to who is commenting here. I don’t mind if you think I’m foolish. I’m not demanding anyone else look foolish. Religion is voluntary, usually…. It makes me happy.

Sure he does.

How 'bout you offer up some actual, testable, verifiable evidence for your gawd and shove your canned spam right up your ass, sideways if it'll fit.
Hi Raven
Thanks for your learned comments. Theists are invited to this forum. Perhaps you are on the wrong one.
I’m just saying God created the world. What is your view? Did the universe just happen from nothing? Is that evidence based?
The burden of proof is not just on me.
Educate me. Tell me.
God Bless Barry
You can’t see it, can you Barry?
You claim nothing can come from nothing. Am I wrong about that?
Nothing can come from nothing, except your god. Am I wrong about that?
Your godthing existed at one point with nothing else, right?
Then what did your god use to invent its first invention from nothing?
I’m betting you’ll continue to not answer so I’m declaring

Hi LG, God exists outside of time. St Augustine said if we think we understand God, we don’t. Nobody understands how the Universe began. This is a difficult discussion. I don’t understand a lot of things that I believe 100% in. That’s where Faith comes in. Every culture since recorded history has believed in a God(s) of some kind. Many eminent scientists do.

Genesis is not supposed to be understood literally. Despite some fundamentalists doing so.

Hi, sorry I dozed off watching the TV. I didn’t realise we are playing chess. BTW God invented chess. See Genesis 18:31,a.
Answer: God can do anything.

PS God invented sleep too.

God exists outside time. Science doesn’t. I agree “science doesn’t know”. “Trying to find out” is a “cop out”.

Does a cause need to precede its effect? Did God exist before the universe he created existed? Yes, by definition. Cheers Barry

I saved ten percent on tithing by switching to unbelief.
You should be a Catholic. The average Catholic gives less than 1%. So few Catholics are attending Mass now we may soon pay people to attend.
