Honestly, I feel cheated. I feel like it would be so much easier to make the case that the us isn't a civilized nation in any number of other ways that could actually land beyond whatever clutch of nutters that bit of nonsense appeals to. But no.

In the last ten days Israel has bombed 6 UNRWA schools in Gaza. At least 42 were killed in today's attack, including the 160th journalist to be killed so far.

70% of UNRWA schools have been destroyed, as well as all universities.

They also bombed an area they had previously designated a safe zone for refugees.

So far this year in the West Bank, where Hamas has no presence, Israel has illegally occupied more territory than they had in the previous 20 years combined. Thousands of Palestinian homes have been destroyed. It is also clear that illegal settlers may kill Palestinians at will, with no restraint from security forces.

If your media sources didn't show you the video of 15 illegal settlers surrounding a teenage Palestinian girl, taunting her, and then shooting her dead, then you are not getting the full picture.

Someone here told me that Biden has no power to do anything about this. Apparently no power to utter a condemnation in any of his many media appearances, and no power to stop sending weapons.

VP Vance will be worse, of course, but that doesn't mean Biden isn't complicit in evil.

It has been decades since either a Republican or a Democratic national convention was must-watch TV, especially for all four nights.

But the assassination attempt on Donald Trump over the weekend has changed all of that.

I saw another poll saying that Biden polls better than the last week, but then again we're talking about little over 2000 people representing the whole country

Trump Does Not Get Post-Shooting Poll Boost

The poll, conducted by Morning Consult of 2,045 registered voters on Monday, reveals that Trump is leading Joe Biden by just one percentage point with 46 percent, compared to the president's 45 percent.

In the week before the shooting, national polls had Trump as the favorite to win the White House, leading narrowly in the six key battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, with some of the results falling within the statistical margin of error.

The latest poll, where Biden has narrowed the lead, could come as a surprise to the many analysts who predicted that Trump would see a surge in polls after surviving the assassination attempt.

If it's a truly random sample, 2000 will get the statistical margin of error down to about + or - 2%.
