So, apparently, holding 120,000 people (many of whom were law-abiding citizens) prisoner for no reason apart from the fact that they had ancestors from Japan is A-OK in your eyes?

And, from what I’ve read, as inexcusable as the whole thing was, life at Manzanar seems like it still would have been better than what I’ve found from today’s border camps. For one thing, I can’t remember reading about women in Manzanar being told to drink out of a toilet bowl.

So, translating your remark from Jackass into English, the fact that someone who spent years in a concentration camp ended up becoming a Hollywood actor means that what they say about their own lived experience is automatically suspect? Am I understanding your point accurately?

Actually, several of them have done hard time in prison. They were born here and that didn't make them law-abiding. Your willingness to assume things you don't know about people you've never met is, uh, interesting.

You could also look at the demographics of criminality without thinking about what I related above at all.
