RE: Damned Muslims
How Muslim news site 5Pillars spreads conspiracy theories and hate

The former leader of Britain First, a far right party, was not an obvious interviewee for an Islamic news outlet that claims to represent the British Muslim community. Hussain, the deputy editor of 5Pillars, had invited her on, he told viewers, after discovering, to his surprise, that she opposed Israel.

Speaking on the podcast, Fransen began to rail against a supposed conspiracy established by Jews to undermine Western nations.

“The agenda is a Zionist agenda, in that it’s not just Jews, but if you look at who is behind all of it, if you look at, as I said, who owns the largest, that I know of, porn platform Pornhub – a rabbi,” she said.

“Who's behind the abortion industry? Who's funding it? Jews. Who's pushing the LGBTQPZ plus agenda? All of this is attributed to the Zionists, they're not all Jews but it's irrefutable that there is a disproportionate number of Jews occupying positions of authority here in the United Kingdom as in government and we see the same in other parts of the West.”

In November, the alternative press regulator Impress ruled that the interview had “encouraged abuse or hatred against a group” after the Community Security Trust brought a complaint.

Impress’s verdict that 5Pillars had discriminated against Jews is just the latest incident in a long history of extremism, however.

Roshan Muhammed Salih, who owns 5Pillars, previously served as head of news at the Iranian-regime-backed Press TV in London. During his tenure, the Press TV website published an article written by former UCL academic and Shoah denier Nicholas Kollerstrom which claimed that Nazi Germany’s slaughter of Jewish people during the Holocaust was "scientifically impossible".

In 2013, the Muslim news outlet, 5Pillars, had suggested that the murderer of British soldier Lee Rigby, who was killed in London by extremists, could have been working for the British security services.

Salih wrote: "Did Michael Adebolajo and his friend hack that British soldier to death on the orders of MI5 because they had some leverage over them and they were compelled to do it? Did MI5 set the whole thing up to demonise Muslims and Islam?"

A 2014 article, meanwhile, asked whether the murder of James Foley, an American journalist who was beheaded by Isis, had been staged by Western intelligence agencies.

Following the Taliban’s seizure of power in Afghanistan three years ago, 5Pillars has covered the Islamist movement’s return to power closely.

Writing on X, Salih has accused the mainstream media of launching a "full-blown crusade to provoke an uprising against the Taliban".

“This should be the main narrative of media around the world, rather than the red herrings about women's rights etc that we are being sold.”

Other articles published by 5Pillars have featured calls for the creation of a Muslim caliphate.

In another video created by 5Pillars titled, “The people of Sodom, Prophet Lut and the LGBT movement”, Hussain meanwhile described being gay as “a gross crime against Allah”.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Porn agenda? LOL

I see more Muslims and Christian fundies running things than Jews, at least in my limited experience. If she wants to find something to back her claims, then she'll find it, while ignoring everything else. Even if a porn site is owned by a Rabbi (which I think is awesome, BTW), there are literally 1000's that are not. What about those?

Also, it's not an agenda if someone wants or needs a service. An abortion clinic is not likely to be run by a Catholic or Muslim, for example, so obviously someone needs to run these services. So what?

For every service run by a Jewish person we can find 100's more that aren't. It's a big 'ol world, after all, with lots of diverse backgrounds....at least for now.
It will all be over soon...

Yeah, Christians putting blame on Jews why they watch porn.

But if you go down the proverbial rabbit hole, you find out that the owner of PornHub is MindGeek; and its owner is something called Ethical Capital Partners, and the owner of that is someone called Rocco Meliambro. But who is this Rocco? He doesn't have a Wikipedia page or any other website that provides information about him, and yet he seems rather important.

Women arrested by Taliban for begging report rape and killings in Afghan jails

Over the past few months, many women said they had been targeted by Taliban officials and detained under anti-begging laws passed this year. While in prison, they claim they were subjected to sexual abuse, torture and forced labour, and witnessed children being beaten and abused.

All the women said they had no other option to begging on the streets for money and food for their children after being unable to find paid work.

Since the Taliban took power in August 2021, women have been barred from most paid work, which has seen levels of destitution, especially among female-led households, increase across the country.

According to Taliban officials, nearly 60,000 beggars have already been “rounded up” in Kabul alone.

RE: Damned Muslims
Point of this article is that Muslims and Hindus in India are duped into spending all their money and emotions on expensive temples while living in slums.

Quote:Hindus and Muslims are fighting about mosques and temples instead of basic civic rights

This is what makes it so puzzling that Hindus and Muslims should be fighting about mosques and temples when they should be fighting for basic civic rights. I have personally not been to Sambhal but I have been to many small towns in Uttar Pradesh over the years and not come across one that showed the smallest signs of municipal governance. In these towns if there is one, clean and relatively attractive structure it is always a mosque or a temple that shine like beacons in the wasteland from which they rise.

Instead of fighting for the right to better living standards, Hindus and Muslims spend their time killing each other while trying to establish that beneath some mosque there may once have been a Hindu temple. Why do we not just agree that when Muslim invaders rampaged through India, they flattened thousands of Hindu, Buddhist and Jain temples? Why not just accept this ugly truth? Why do we need to continue blaming every Indian Muslim today for what his co-religionists did hundreds of years ago? Muslims are not innocent victims either. They rally in support of a Waqf Board that has been notoriously corrupt and criminally territorial for far too long. But when you have a Hindutva government trying to restrict the Waqf’s powers there are inevitably suspicions that this is just one more attempt to humiliate Muslims in general.

As someone who has traveled in much poorer countries than India, I often say in this column, that there is almost no country in the world in which I have seen living conditions more abysmal than in India. They will improve only when ordinary citizens discover that they need basic, civic governance more than places of worship.
