US Strikes on Iran (Operation Epic Fury)

Let me remind YOU that they did no such thing. The US entered both wars because their economic interests were being threatened.

China is heavily subsidizing its EV and renewable industries based on Soviet Style Leninist economic models (I don’t know the details either). Right now the EU (and the US) are looking for ways to protects their automobile industries because Chinese cars are not only cheaper, but better, designed to kill all other automotive industries in the world.

BYD got 1.8 billion from the chinese government.  Elmo has sucked up 48billion from the us government and byd is still eating his lunch. Free land, free rent, free utilities, these are things american manufacturing also avails itself of, though it's usually the employees paying for all of it directly or through the local municipality rather than federal taxes.

Quote:“It’s difficult to escape the conclusion that these negotiations could have taken place without a three-month war,” said Holly Dagres, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute. “Much of what is outlined in the agreement — including the Strait of Hormuz, which has historically remained open — could have been addressed through diplomacy.”

And she pointed out that the agreement left the most difficult issues, including the precise limits to be imposed on Iran’s nuclear program, for later talks.

“I’m skeptical that the next 60 days of talks will produce concrete results,” she said. “This is merely kicking the can down the road.”

Think of how he changed the US Supreme Court so that he was able to make abortion illegal in half of the USA. A stupid man who doesn’t have a plan cannot do such things.

In retrospect:

Afghanistan was G.W. Bush’s plan to eradicate international terrorism at its source (in these so called rogue-countries). Some 2,500 servicemen are dead yet and it wasn’t an easy catch. SO what does D. Trump do?

- He leaves and blames the whole thing on democrats Smile

So I think this is a conspiracy. I think the Democrats being unable to find someone who can truly challenge D. Trump is also a part of that conspiracy.

Also: There is a famous mystic who had predicted (in the 1950’s) that “the communists would try to conquer America from the inside”.

- Since even Netanyahu was in a way betrayed by D. Trump like this (despite the very powerful pro-Israel lobby in the US) I think something is going on there that we don’t know of. (Or that’s my personal theory in this moment because I still cannot make any sense of any of this Smile Smile  )

It seems pretty clear that lots of OTHER people have plans. Trump will get persuaded to follow one for a while, but his erratic nature means that he may not follow it well, and likely won't follow through.

So Netanyahu has been trying for years to persuade America to attack Iraq. He finally found a US President dumb enough to try it. He hasn't got much of what he wanted, but that doesn't mean the plan is over. Netanyahu will keep plugging away at it until he's got Greater Israel sewn up.

Trump's adventures in Venezuela and Greenland, for example, were parts of US oil corporations' long range plans to control oil supplies everywhere. No doubt the oil executives wish he'd done a better job, but the idea that those two countries need to be controlled is part of the plan.

His commitment to Ukraine has wavered, apparently, but weakening Russia and its ability to sell oil and gas have been on certain people's wish list for decades.

I think that because Trump lacks a real vision for what he wants he is an easy target for powerful flatterers who find him easy to persuade. Those people have plans.

This is why some people keep comparing Iran to Vietnam, which I think is unfair. Trump DEFINITELY had a plan to get out of Vietnam.

There's no oil in greenland. The mad king thought he needed greenland because a cosmetics heir mentioned it to him and he's desperate for the approval of wealth. The new yorker just went to print with a story about how this all went down, and it would be too stupid to believe in a normal timeline. When he first brought the subject up was when john bolton realized he was nuts.

Quote:The first time Trump is known to have expressed an interest in Greenland was in late 2018, when he was seventy-two years old. He summoned his national-security adviser, John Bolton, to the Oval Office, and confided that his longtime friend Ronald Lauder had suggested that he buy the island. “He asked, What did I think of it?” Bolton recalled. “I said, ‘Well, we do have some security issues in the Arctic.’ And then I went through them and said, ‘There are probably a lot of ways to handle it. Let me do some research, and I’ll come back to you.’ ”

What followed “was all done in a slightly clandestine, cloak-and-dagger way,” Fiona Hill, who was serving as the senior director for Europe and Russia on the National Security Council, told me. Bolton summoned her to his office, but he wouldn’t say why. When she arrived, she found him ashen-faced, sitting next to a Coast Guard admiral who was serving as the White House’s homeland-security adviser. “Bolton said to us, ‘Look, Ron Lauder has told Trump he needs to buy Greenland, and we’ve got to head this off before he announces he’s buying Greenland to everybody,’ ” Hill said. “He didn’t want us to let anybody else know, not even within our directorates.” Bolton asked her to discreetly prepare a memo that presented more reasonable alternatives.

He never had any commitment to ukraine to waver. He's been pissed about that since they wouldn't make up investigations to help him win an election. Meanwhile, he's desperate to help his real dad Vlad for the same reason he wanted greenland.

- I don’t believe in these approaches anymore. If I was China, I would take Taiwan right now. I’m 100% sure that Trump won’t do anything about that either Smile

Dessee23:

- Israel’s strategy does not fit into anything either. All of this made sense if there was a new regime in Iran with whom Israel and the rest of the world could negotiate on key issues. The regime in Iran is still a regime that vows to destroy Israel. No matter how much you hit them, they will sell more fossil fuels and rebuild both Hamas and Hezbollah no matter how many times the IDF strikes them.

So the next two years are going to be difficult for Israel too. Then there will be another US administration who will be left to deal with this mess and more messes that D. Trump is going to do until 2028. Will this US administration be able to re-normalize all of that? – I don’t know. Sad

Five years ago, the question china had about taiwan was external. Basically, could they have it without unacceptable international consequences. Now that doesn't matter, because they would be destroyed as a modern military power in the attempt.
