You have to admit the chance of being hit by a train during a short sojourn on a track required to retrieve a phone is actually rather low, as for as fraction out of unity goes.

So I don't think she expected to be hit by a train, the odds were not that she would be hit by a train, the odds of her being hit be a train might be higher than you are comfortable with, but it most certainly is not the expected outcome as far as statistics goes.
