Ask the Christian

RE: Ask the Christian
You'll just have to believe that he is Epi.
(same as him really, he just has to believe, otherwise, his head is likely to explode, or so it says in the biblical narrative.)

(Mckinney as God)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

How did you decide on your profile name?

Oh, and another question: If your answer to Rhythm is that "you just have to believe," how are you helping people here by "clearing up any misconceptions" about xtianity?

There's not a whole lot of misconceptions on the "you just have to believe" thing around here. Sadly that number isn't zero though....

I see no reason to bow over 2000+ years beliefs, sorry. Your Jesus means nothing to me. If you take it as truth, there is little I can say to change your mind. I for one don't conform to absolute truths, let alone unsubstantiated claims. You feel jesus? Keep convincing yourself you do.

I know all I need to know about christianity, I was one till I get to the age of reason. For a brief period I did believe, and I tried to keep believing, but I can't fight the lack of coherence in your god or anyone else's god.

Hey OP welcome aboard. Atheists tend to think that they know it all already despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary demonstrated daily here. So your opening tack was pure folly.

You did indeed make a mistake though. Turn the other cheek actually refers to offering yourself to be struck again.
