This so called "arab spring" is nothing more than a clever ruse, a new takeover of the middle east by the NATO.

True. It worked well in Libya they are doing it in Syria. Much easier then a full scale invasion like Iraq.

I also think Saudi Arabia is supplying a lot of weaponry, as the US sold them some 60 billion in weapons a couple years ago. Biggest arms sale ever.

Does anyone remember Bahrain protests? That was genuine, that is why the US did not scream for a no-fly zone and airstrikes. They actually blamed Iran for stoking the uprisings their, but in Syria they are "freedom fighters" and "rebels" that need the US help.

So if they can't even get that basic fact right in that article how should we, or Joe Public, take the rest seriously?

They seem to be *holding* reigns, right now. However, the moslem brotherhood is far now the politically most promising faction. They are also responsible for the majority of the demonstrations against the old regime.
These are the basic facts, my friend.
I knew these before I consulted the article.

Meaning, the military rule is over. Soon, it will be the case of another islamic government that secretly backs US interests.
