I had FB friends post that they were sad he was dead. I doubt they knew the rumor was due to death threats related to his stance on evolution... It amazes me the lengths people will go through to block out reality.

God bless the good old U.S.A. where reality is ignored and stupidity is revered. That's right folks, we're a superpower, and we have nukes.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Though I think "faith or science" is a false dichotomy, I want to say how much respect I had for this guy after watching a clip of him on YouTube related to this.

I wanted to use a video that perfectly encapsulates that point, but since I couldn't find the clip I wanted I had to nick this from a post at the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations (SHAFR.org):
Quote:One of Richard Pryor’s best stories revolved around his wife coming home and catching him with another woman. The woman bolted from the bedroom while Pryor’s wife berated him, as he denied that he’d done anything wrong. Finally, Pryor gave the punch line, as he looked at his wife and asked, “Baby, who you gonna believe? Me or your lyin’ eyes?”

Hail to the chimp!
Incidentally, as is so often the case, I couldn't get the image to load but in this case it really didn't matter. Just seeing the words bush_moron loaded the picture directly to my head.
