Not in works of fiction. Lots of people saw Luke Skywalker blow up the Death Star.
Doesn't make it real, sonny.
Why do you believe?

Hi,
I believe in God due to the experiences I have had with God. Miracles and the like. To read about it see my website at http://www.futureandahope.net I have also included one of my favorite true stories from my life here for you to read. One morning I got up and walked into the hall and I heard a voice that I believed was God say "How would you like to be stabbed in the Valley". The Valley was known as the rough end of town, and the voice scared me a little, I wondered if I had done something to offend God. I had planned to go down to the Valley to ask people out to church as was my habit at the time. In the end I went anyway regardless of the fear. I walked up to the first person I met and asked him if he would like to go out to church. He said to me "I am an atheist, I don't believe in God". I just said "fine", but hoped to change his mind. He then proceeded to unbutton his shirt and showed me scar marks up and down his chest and stomach. He said to me, "I was attacked by a knife wielding man in the Valley some time ago and spent months recovering in hospital, How could God allow that to happen to me". Then I knew why God had said in the morning "How would I like to be stabbed?". God understood this man, but had a good plan for him. Some weeks latter this man came out to church and became a Christian.

Is there no such thing as coincidence in your strange world of disembodied voices, was Rhoda really responsible for the second world war? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-DtLBW5NHs (December 5, 2012 at 9:55 pm)FutureAndAHope Wrote: Hi, Next time, atleast make up a story that sounds plausible. However, I have now come to understand that my interpretation of the facts was in error. As a Christian I went to many "healing and miracle" services, and as I investigated those places (little by little) I found them lacking in solid evidence for anything supernatural or mysterious. In reality, their claims were just built up emotional "want" or desire. Their desire for miracles to be "real" was so HEAVY, that they would accept ANY "sign" as a confirmation (even when things had a clear practical explanation). Do you know what that is called? BEING GULLIBLE. So the question I have for you is this, how do you tell the difference between an event that is natural (or coincidence) and an event that is supernatural? Hi, Well if I look at my experiences from a scientific perspective, I won't do the maths but you are welcome too. If you read my website you would have seen that I randomly open my bible to get verses from God to give me guidence. As an example read the following story off my site: On the 10 of October 2012 the LORD prevented us from making a bad financial decision. Me and my wife had found a house that we thought could be a good investment for our future. But our pastor prayed about it and felt that it was not going to be a good investment. So I prayed that if it was not a good investment God would get the bible to open randomly to James 4:13-15, otherwise the bible would open to the verse in Mal 3:10 about God blessing our finances. I opened my bible on the computer and moved my hand quickly and randomly, first selecting a book of the bible, then a verse, all without looking where I was choosing, and it opened to James 4:13-15 so I knew that God did not want us to go ahead. Jas 4:13-15 “Some of you say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to some city. We will stay there a year, do business, and make money." Listen, think about this: You don't know what will happen tomorrow. Your life is like a fog. You can see it for a short time, but then it goes away. So you should say, "If the Lord wants, we will live and do this or that." So with one try, the bible randomly opened to the very verse I asked God about. That is a 1/54248 chance. Even if this happened once it would be quite amazing a 0.0000184338593127857248193481787347 chance, but it has happened multiple times 5 times recorded on my website. that is a random possibility of 0.0000000000000000000000000000039237164186164436897300633262929 Also just with the general miracles I listed about the guy being stabbed. That has a high improbability, yet it has happened in a similar way more than once. If I am to follow scientific method in my life, I must believe it is probable given my stories are true that God is 99.999999999999999999999999999997% likely to exist. As I know what I have experienced is true I would be a fool to not believe.
Hey I love God he is awsome.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

You start with two candidate verses, then make some random mouse clicks that land you on one of them... and then calculate the odds of that as 1/54248... Am I missing something?
Can someone bring the hammer down on this idiot?
