Ok, in short:

Good for the poor, humble, bad for homosexuals, against contraception, bad for south americas left, good for south american conservatives, critizised for not having the courage to stand up against argentines military dictatorship during the 70s.

One can at least say that it isnt the guy who sets a sinking ship on fire.

I mean, one of the favorite candidates was an italian who personaly tried to hide a scandel involving the rape of 200 children, is a friend of Berlosconi and has a friend who is a holocaust denier.

He is not european and he could possibly be the best pope for the poor that the church ever had.

So I guess in a certain way there is a "little" chance for the church to become more modern and step out of it`s backwardsness (at least for the poor)
