God called me to be an evangelist, when I first became a Christian I looked down on evangelism, I was more interested in academic philosophy. God called me to do evangelism through signs and wonders and showed me how, despite the degree to which evangelists are ridiculed and disrespected (or perhaps because of that), evangelism is something that God values highly because it deals with people being reunited to God and pursuing holiness.
So it is a sacrifice for me to be posting here. I would rather be upstairs coding and writing systematic theology. What is prideful about that?
If you want to follow Jesus, you have to follow Him completely, then you will experience the Holy Ghost. Otherwise you will experience nothing. You don't have to start off expecting to receive everything though, but that is the way to receive everything.

Do you mean that god stated this in the bible or that he personally informed you of this? Last time I checked, there was no biblical law to evangelize.

God personally informed me of this. I received the word "evangelist" by the Holy Spirit. I also have received many prophetic words telling me I am going to be a writer, as well as personally receiving this testimony from the Holy Spirit.

As I thought. You need to go on meds, and not the type you prescribe for yourself.

That is the way you deal with things you don't understand, with superstition and ignorant claims. So be it, you will live in a small shallow world.

I am not the one closing my eyes to reality to only accept superstition as truth.

Unlikely. Seen many things, will see many more... but tell us: what have you seen?

Spaghetti.

Yeah. I'd get in touch with a very good psychiatrist.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
