The writers were relaying oral stories that noone knows from where or how old they were.

Well I don't care what you label me. To me it's a fallacy of ambiguity to say it means something most people would not understand from first impression. If it has two indistinguishable first impressions, then that is also a fallacy of ambiguity.

Language is not meant to confuse people, but convey thoughts.

For example, when Jesus talked about the temple being risen in 3 days, that was a fallacy of ambiguity, because none of his intended audience would've understood the way it was intended (ie. that he is the temple or his body is the temple).

I can't speak of the ambiguity, I'm not versed in Hebrew. Even Hebrew scholars will admit that they are not totally versed in Hebrew.
There's ambiguity in the original, and then there's numerous translations. Attempting a literal reading of an ancient, translated text is not something I recommend.
But of course you guys will choose whichever you think is more logical...

Adam represents intellect? The serpent represents what - the suggestion of the evil self? The tree represents what - absolute vision of good and evil? It's better to be limited in perception and trust authority (God) ?

I was taught Eve was the reason we sin.

I also believe that the Bible, in its usual sexist manner, totally made the chick eat the apple on purpose. The story of Eve eating the apple has been used so many times as justification for women being below men.

You are correct about why some think women are below men, yet in reality they are equal in God's sight. The men of that age were the driving force and so they put women below themselves. I know what Genesis says, however you need to read the entire Bible and find the things God actually say about women.

That would depend on which definition you choose. If you think Adam represents intellect, then perhaps the Hebrew word originally translated as serpent may make more sense as "a guess".
